Proverbs 19:11, Colossians 1: 11: Patience sometimes it is so easy to lose your patience. This is particularly true when something unexpected happens. This week I have had unexpected company that is here for an undetermined amount of time. It was a planned visit; they just showed up a week early. I was in the middle of a major clean preparing for the expected visit time, when they showed up, late at night, after bedtime. It has been a real trial for my patience. Having to run into the bathroom in-between them going to the bathroom. There is no consideration concerning we have to get up early because of work. No, we want to stay up late. As a result, I find myself extremely tired and with that fighting crankiness. Today, I decided I needed to read some scripture to help with my peace, to receive inspiration and strength from the Lord. Remember that our strength comes from the Lord. Remembering that through the augmentation of the Holy Spirit, I can find the strength to be patient when I have to wait to go to the bathroom. To find patience when they want food that is not in my diet. I pray for the strength to be a cheerful servant. It is how we all are, we have our routines, and we like our routines. Things that disrupt our routines are an annoyance. Yet we are to be servants for the Lord and he expects us to do so cheerfully. It is hard, but there are rewards, because the more we lean on him, the more he gives us.
A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.
Being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,
