How to use your Lie-A-Scope

As you might think a Lie-A-Scope gives you discernment to detect lies. It would be a cool device to have, but I would not use it listening to politics during a campaign. I am afraid this would cause you to hear a constant buzz from your Lie-A-Scope.

Psalms 63: It says honor God, earnestly seek him and the mouth of liars will be silenced.  As I was writing this, I was thinking wouldn’t it be neat if you could differentiate between truth and lies? God can.  He knows the difference between the truth and a lie, even a little white lie.  There are some lies which are obvious to us. And James chapter one tells us if we pray for wisdom without doubt, it will be given to us. With wisdom, we are better equipped to discern lies. I think that there are days that if I had a “lie-a-scope”, it would be sounding constantly, especially if I turn on the news. But we can through time, through learning to hear God more, have our own lie-a-scope.  It is called wisdom brought to us by having Jesus live inside us. So go out and hone those Lie-a-scopes and learn to hear God better through reading the word. P.S. Not advisable to over use your Lie-a-scope during a presidential campaign or any time speaking with a politician you do not personally know.

You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water.

I have seen you in the sanctuary
and beheld your power and your glory.
Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands.
I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

On my bed I remember you;
I think of you through the watches of the night.
Because you are my help,
I sing in the shadow of your wings.
I cling to you;
your right hand upholds me.

Those who want to kill me will be destroyed;
they will go down to the depths of the earth.
10 They will be given over to the sword
and become food for jackals.

11 But the king will rejoice in God;
all who swear by God will glory in him,
while the mouths of liars will be silenced.
