1 Peter 1:22-23: This is something that I sometimes forget. I forget that I am purified through Christ’s sacrifice. I allow the evil one’s lies to enter. Those lies that say “you are not good enough”. substitute skinny, pretty, smart, or whatever insecurities you have. When we forget that we are Children of God. When we forget that we have been cleansed and we are worthy. We allow Satan’s lies to deceive us. That is when we start feeling bad. We think things such as I am a bad mommy, wife, sister, friend, person. There is a girl for whom I pray, she always says but you don’t know what I have done, Christ can’t love me. I have done too many bad things. Jesus disagrees. Titus 2:14: Jesus redeemed us from all wickedness (1 John 1:9, Matthew 12:31, and the list goes on). See this young girl is wrong. I just pray that someday she sees the truth. Jesus loves each and everyone and we are all worthy to receive salvation. Doesn’t mean we are perfect-yet, someday. But every person no matter how horrible they may seem is worthy to receive Salvation.
22 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart. 23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
