Ephesians 2:1-10:

We are God’s handiwork.  In the beginning, we were given choice.  God does not want Automatons unable to make our own choices.  I know they have droids that can make their own choices, inside their programing. The cannot decide to become X-ray technicians. As Humans, we can decide to be whatever we want.  We can follow our own path.  Or we can decide to follow the path God has for us.  I won’t tell you that the path he has will always be easy.  What I will tell you is you will always have peace. There will always be God’s grace. There will always be hope. When you follow God’s path, there will be an overwhelming, constantly with feeling of being alive.  If you stick to the path.  Does this mean we don’t make plans?  ABSOLUTELY NOT! It means we commit our plans to the Lord and allow HIM TO MAKE THEM STRAIGHT. Follow those little nudges he will send you.  know when there is a fork in the road, if you listen to God he will show you the right path. The failing thought is that we think “okay God, now that I am yours, everything should be easy now”.  And it would be if not for the evil one that likes to come in and cause pain and suffering. If Satan had not ever fallen, life would be the garden of Eden, but he is here, and all we can do is be on guard against the evil one. With Jesus, we do not have to be on guard, all we should do is accept.

1As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
